Senior Systems Engineer

Randstad Defence is currently working with a sovereign defence company that provides advanced technology systems for mission critical environments in defence. The company is in an exciting growth phase and currently have multiple opportunities for Senior Systems Engineers within their Canberra office.

About the Role

The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for planning, and overseeing the execution of projects that satisfies the engineering and regulatory requirements as per the project plans and customers' needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform system engineering activities including functional analysis, system design & analysis, requirements management, integration, verification & validation and testing of systems.
• Work on systems design aspects for a range of software, hardware, control systems, electro-mechanical and support system components, assemblies and subsystem elements.
• Lead project planning and project decision-making processes.
• Work within a large team of systems engineers, liaising with engineers and teams across different disciplines and products
• Utilise domain, discipline and systems engineering knowledge to provide technical assurance of engineering design and manage risks impacting engineering.

About you:

• 10 years or more experience in a Senior Engineering position.
• Knowledge and understanding of the Product Life Cycle.
• A Bachelors or Post Graduate Degree within an Engineering Discipline.
• Demonstrated systems engineering Experience coupled with engineering experience in a relevant discipline.
• Proven experience in the project/program execution within the ASDEFCON framework.
• The ability to obtain or hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance
